Kaman Corporation, in collaboration with its benefit vendors, offers a chronic condition management program for our employees and their eligible dependents who have been diagnosed with diabetes. As a part of the program, Kaman offers an incentive for those with diabetes to partner with a Cigna personal health coach, set health goals, and implement a plan of action in support of meeting the personal goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to participate in Kaman's Diabetes Management Program?

Active Kaman employees, spouses, and dependent children (with parental consent) enrolled in the Cigna medical plan who have been diagnosed with diabetes.

What is my incentive for participating in the Kaman Diabetes Management Program?

Diabetic medications and supplies will be provided at no cost if the member diagnosed with diabetes engages with a personal health coach and progresses toward goals that will be defined by both the member and their coach during the initial coaching call. Regardless of the Kaman Medical Plan, participation in Kamans Chronic Condition Management program will result in the waiver of out-of-pocket expenses including copays, coinsurance, and/or deductibles for diabetic medications and supplies.

How will the Cigna personal health coach help?

To help members achieve individual health goals and receive the incentive mentioned above the member will be partnered with a Cigna personal health coach. The health coach will be highly qualified and dedicated to understanding individual health needs. The coach will work with the member one-on-one to provide support, listen, understand individual needs, and help create unique solutions. The health coach will only report to CVS Caremark that the individual is engaged in the program in order receive the incentive. Kaman will receive a report of only the number of individualswho have engaged in the program. All other information remains strictly confidential.

How soon until I start receiving my diabetic prescriptions at no cost?

Within one month after engaging with a personal health coach, diabetic prescriptions and supplies can be obtained at no cost. After initial engagement with a health coach, progression in achieving personal health goals will allow for continued eligibility for the free diabetic prescriptions and supplies.

Will Kaman Corporation have access to my personal health information?

Although Kaman Corporation will receive reports that identifies the number of individuals enrolled in the Diabetes Management Program, personal data and information shared in coaching sessions is confidential and will not be provided to KamanCorporation.

How do I get started?
  1. You (or your eligible dependent) can simply call 855-246-1873 and ask to speak to a coach to enroll.
  2. If you have time when you place the call, you will be connected to a coach during your first call (if not, thats okay, you can set up a convenient time for you). The coach you first speak with will be your coach going forward. Hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm for all time zones.
  3. The first call could possibly take up to 20 to 30 minutes, as this will be the call where the coach gets to know you or your dependent and the desired goals.
  4. After the first call, time spent will be dictated by you, your schedule, and your coachs availability.
  5. Within one month following engagement, start getting your diabetic prescriptions and supplies at no cost (some restrictions apply).

  • Urine testing strips
  • Acetone and ketone testing strips

In addition to the medications and supplies listed here, participants are allowed one free diabetic meter per year through the CVS Health Diabetic Meter Program.

All drugs and supplies are still subject to the Formulary.
